Learner Profile:Gen Yi
Today, I learned a lot about my classmate Gen Yi from the interview by Sandy. First, Gen Yi is from China, he has been living one year in New York, and he likes the United States very much. Second, I realize he wants to study about forensics, when he is in college. However, he did not pass the CAT-W test, so he joined the CLIP program. He has not taken any college classes yet. He has a big problem for his American life, because the language is the biggest problem for him to adapt and live in the new life. In addition, Gen Yi has a part-time job working in Long Island. Furthermore, in his free time, he likes to play computer games such as "League of Legends" Gen Yi does not know how to become a good reader. So, it can be a big reason for him to have language problems. Also, he does not like to write in English, or he was writing in China. Finally, Gen Yi told us he is not ready for to have children.
